About me

PINAR CIFTCI is a multifaceted actress, writer and producer, from Oslo, Norway, with Kurdish heritage.

Fluent in Norwegian, English, Turkish, German, French, and Kurdish, she holds a BA in Theatre Production and Acting from Nord University, and has trained at the William Esper Studio in New York as well as Tanzquartier Wien.

Ciftci has worked in theatre and film across Norway, Chile, Austria and Greece. As an independent journalist, she has written for multiple Norwegian publications. Her work has achieved international recognition, being translated into both Arabic, English and Italian.​

She had her debut as a playwright and lead actress with HULL at Det Norske Teatret in 2023. Currently, she's starring in the short film I WALKED ALONE and developing the theatre concert FRAVÆRENDE HELT, supported by Fritt Ord Foundation, Arts Council Norway, The Audio and Visual Fund and FFUK, set to premiere in fall 2025, as well as developing the theatre play WONDERLAND, supported by Dramatikkens hus, set to premiere in 2026.
