About me

Julia spent part of her childhood living in a commune in the south of England. In her twenties, she worked in Shoreditch, including a stint at the Old Blue Last, where she served drinks to Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse. Later, she travelled down Highway 1 with her Swedish friend and spent some time living in Santa Monica. These experiences have fostered a deep connection to the English language, making her feel very much at home in it.

Julia’s motto is: "Take it seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously." She brings great passion to her roles, but just as things threaten to get too tragic, her mischievous streak inevitably comes to the fore.

Julia played a pivotal role in the musical dramedy miniseries Good Monsters, portraying a desperate woman who robs her husband’s drug dealer. The series premiered in the Watchroom at Seriencamp, became a finalist for AMC's Best Female Creators Award, and won numerous international prizes. Since May, it has been available across Europe on Sooner and via Prime Video.
 
This autumn, she will appear in the ARD/Degeto TV film Tödliche Schatten, where she plays the role of a doctor.
