I am Emily Kristofics-Binder - half French, half Austrian - and I grew up trilingual in French, German and English. As the youngest of five sisters in a sporty family, exercise was a central part of my life from an early age.
Between the ages of 6 and 20, I was active in top international vaulting. At the same time, I devoted myself to dance, painting and poetry - forms of expression that still characterise my artistic work today.
After graduating from high school, I trained as an actor at the renowned École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris. There I received intensive training in physical theatre - including mime, clowning, commedia dell'arte, stage combat, voice training, melodrama, object theatre and dramaturgical work. My training was complemented by creative subjects such as set and costume design.
At the same time, I attended the École Nationale des Arts du Cirque in the evenings, where I expanded my possibilities for physical expression in disciplines such as flying trapeze, acrobatics, trampoline and aerial straps.
Today, my artistic focus is on film and television, with my versatile physical and theatrical training playing a central role in my work.
Alongside my artistic path, I studied social work and social sciences and gained practical experience in child protection work. This background also flows into my artistic work - in my exploration of social issues and human vulnerability.
