Ellen Schneider
is currently studying at the bilingual acting academy for film and stage in Vienna. She grew up in Solothurn, Switzerland, where she started acting in the youth club of the city theatre and co-directed a school film project.
She also played her first leading roles in theatre and film projects of graduating students.
At the Theatre - Orchestra Biel Solothurn (TOBS), she played and sang as an extra and in the choir of several theatre and opera productions with guest performances throughout Switzerland. These included “Bellissima” by Luchino Visconti, “The Rake’s Progress” by Igor Stravinsky and “Cyrano” by Edmond Rostand.
In 2023, she wrote and staged the one-act play “Stockwerk 613” as her graduating project, for which she received an Azeiger Cultural Promotion prize. For the associated culture night, she wrote and performed the monologue play “dr purluteri prinz”.
In her free time, she loves singing and listening to musicals and classical music, doing Kung Fu, reading and writing poetry.
