Anja Knafl was born in Vienna in 2004 and spent the first fifteen years of her life growing up in Klosterneuburg (Lower Austria). After moving to Carinthia in 2019, she completed her training as a veterinary surgery assistant with distinction in 2022 and has been part of the Carinthian acting course at the CMA Ossiach since the same year. Through this, she found her way into acting, which is now close to her heart. In 2024, she played the role of Effi in the mobile children's play “Konradine und Effi” by Neue Bühne Villach and the role of “God” in “Jugend ohne Gott” by Junges Theater Klagenfurt. She has also been performing as a successful spoken word poet in German-speaking countries since 2023. Her greatest successes to date in this regard include 4th place at the Austrian U20 Championships and the title of Trizemeisterin at the W/NÖ U20 State Championships. In May 2024, after passing the control examination in stage acting at the Vienna Parity Commission, she was awarded the Bruno Gironcoli Special Prize of the City of Culture Villach for her artistic achievements. Her debut publication “Gruppe Rot - Ein Theaterstück” was published in July 24 by Frankfurter Literaturverlag.
