Anita Sophia Somogyi came into this world bearing strange initials, born (not-so-)straight into the heart of Vienna (Ottakring 1997). After finishing high school she spent two years on a Canadian island to study the Christian Life (voluntarily). Upon her return she went off to study the Acting Life in Switzerland, at the Zurich University of the Arts in 2020. During the third semester of her training she was happy to guest at the City Theater in Constance, in a play directed by Susanne Frieling. Her fourth semester she spent back home, attending the first ever Erasmus-programme in Acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, where she was trained by Emily Cox and attended the directing class of Martin Kušej. Back in Zurich she would go on to work with Maximilian Hanisch on a monologue she had written about Mental Health, Christian Rap and Social Bubbles, dedicated to Lecrae and Little Simz. Anita acquired Whitney Houston’s «One Moment in Time» by working with Anne Haug and Judith Hofmann during her final semester.
Anita learns very fast, dances, sings, and writes, and continues to display a great set of core values (liver, kidneys).
