Achim Schelhas

The biggest challenge for me, as an actor is to create believable characters. 
To achieve that I'm always trying to establish trust.
Trust in myself, my physical and mental abilities as well as trust in the piece/play itself , my role in particular, my director and my colleges.
My work has been influenced by working together with directors and actors such as Peter Zadek, Ulrich Matthes, Angela Winkler, Christine Ostermayer and Vadim Glowna.
I've been speaking fluent English with an American accent since I was little. I was taught speaking English by family friends from the US.
As an actor in a foreign country I've been getting roles with foreign origins/backgrounds.
Languages and accents have become a frequently occuring theme in my work today.
